Canadian Activities

World Accord's programs in Canada are focused on raising awareness by educating people about development issues, and on raising money to support World Accord and its projects in developing countries.

Development education and fundraising go hand in hand. World Accord does not ask for money – we do help Canadians understand development issues and see the needs of the poor, confident that they will generously share of their resources to make a difference in the lives of hardworking poor people in the developing world. Gaining an understanding of the developing world and the issues people face is an essential part of being an active global citizen and will ultimately lead to global solutions to our collective problems.

In addition to the programs listed below, the World Accord staff is willing to work with people and organizations who have creative ideas for engaging and mobilizing Canadians who want to nurture development projects that have lasting and transforming impact on the lives of the poor.
