Crafting for the Poor

World Accord Supporter Continues Support From Retirement Home

Winnie Tulloch has supported World Accord for more than 20 years. Last May she moved to a retirement home in Ottawa, but this hasn’t slowed her down at all. Lately she has been making bells and more bells to sell to the people who live in her retirement home. She has made and sold many other items including a lap warmer, hats to keep out the winter wind, pins of snowmen, pins with hearts, pins with bunnies for Easter as well as Easter baskets and the list goes on.

According to her daughter, Barb Kernohan, “It has brought so much joy to her as well as those she lives with. It has also helped her meet new people and she is known for her crafts near and far, as some have been taken or sent to England by one of the residents. You find her crafts on windows, on doors and on mirrors. She enjoyed having a table set up at the front door of her residence so more and more people could purchase her craft items. My mother loves to tell them about World Accord."

Last December she sent a cheque to World Accord for $400 and “her next cheque will be for more than $300.” Winnie also continues to give monthly contributions.

Thank you Winnie, for your dedication to help the poor!
